It's Saturday morning, the time is just under 9, and the meeting room is already crowded. An intense murmur greets me when I step into the hall downstairs in Santa Clara. It is the network's Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs and Startups that organizes one of many so-called. Meetups. Today is the Pitch and Demo Day.
The format is standard: a number of entrepreneurs will present their product or business idea, a panel consisting mainly of business angels commenting, and rating at the end. A sponsor, today NephoScale who want to compete with Amazon, offer food and drink. Another sponsor, Innospring, an incubator and investor with Chinese connections account for the premises.
Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs and Startups claim to be the world's likert scale examples largest Meetup network, with over 8500 members. I have hardly sat down before the guy sitting in front of me turns around, introduce themselves and talk about what he's working on. He listens then interested in me and what I do, we change some reflections on his product, the life in the valley, Sweden. Shortly we end the call and he turns over time and talk to the next person. A moment later, I observe likert scale examples how he walks around and talks to people: a typical Silicon Valley-networkers. likert scale examples Stereotypes do exist.
Today I listened to everything from systems likert scale examples for electronic referrals to apps that keep track of what you have in the closet (according to a survey, British women values of over $ 5 billion of unused clothes in the closet!). The quality of both the pitches and the ideas are certainly very varied. The audience consists of about 250 people, of whom approximately 10% are women. At least half seems to have Asian origin. It's here to check out the situation, find their next job, find someone to work with, make first contact likert scale examples that may lead to funding, get ideas for the next big thing. Many sit and listen, but many also stands outside likert scale examples the hall and talk to people. Egenlligen no stranger than what happens in many other places, so even in Sweden. It's just that everything here is much more. Many more entrepreneurs, many more meetings, much greater diversity, etc ...
It arranged that said incredible number of hits here, every day there are a large number to choose from depending on what you are interested in, even on weekends. So it is here in the valley. How do you do to find relevant meetings? A tip if you have plans to travel here is to check in advance at www.meetup.com. There is everything. And try also to go on any of the Churchill Club's hits. They usually keep a high quality, with good speakers, and therefore sell out pretty early.
