I have had a couple y balance test of people say they prefer the 13/14 Shelby sound over most of the aftermarket exhaust. It is had to find a comparison as not many late models have changed the mufflers yet. I do like the sound but it would be great with a little y balance test deeper/throatier sound but still keep its civility. I have listened to Borlas and Magnafllow sound clips but its just not enough. I hope by attending some show and meets I will run across THAT sound I am looking for. Re: Would you change y balance test exhaust on a 13 or 14
I heard more 2013 exhaust at shelbyfest than you could imagine. They sound good, but so does every other year of shelby. The exhaust sound that will turn your head is always after market. Factory exhaust is for the masses, tame and civil. Let me ask you, are you tame and civil? I didn't y balance test think so. Now get out there and find some wicked sounding exhaust! And turn some heads! Sent from my ADR6400L using AutoGuide.Com Free App __________________ y balance test Sold!! I now drive a Jetta....Weeeeeeee! Shoot me, please just shoot me.
I have a hard time finding y balance test fault with the factory exhaust... It flows great and sounds great, y balance test so I figure why swap out one of the original aspects of the car that Ford really nailed? Then again, y balance test I don't understand loud-ass y balance test Harley's either. There's a point where the exhaust is "just right", and when you go past that point, it achieves the opposite of what's intended. At least with me... It's the "just because you're strong doesn't mean you have to wear a tank-top 7 days a week" theory that answers the "can you make your Shelby as loud as a redneck's mud truck" question... __________________ 2011 GT500 SVTPP Silver, stripe-delete, glass roof, accessory side scoops and techno-geek package Mods: VMP TVS, 2.4" pulley, VMP elbow, CJ dual-65mm TB, res-delete, AFCO H/E. 660.42 rwhp, 641.74 rwtq Dyno results were with old 2.59" pulley and before the AFCO H/E...
Louder is definitely not always better. But when your at a car show watching cars pull in and a new shelby comes along.. its like a prius compared to most big muscle cars. That's what finally convinced me to change. Guys at car gatherings saying "i can't hear it". They were right. Sounds good at home by it self, but not in good company. y balance test Sent from my ADR6400L using AutoGuide.Com Free App __________________ Sold!! I now drive a Jetta....Weeeeeeee! I had a 12', it was ok sounding. My 13', just right. I won't be touching the exhaust. The cam change to make it lope radically maybe. __________________ 2013 GT 500, Recaro's, Widened Alcoas, Toyo 888's. 275/35/20x10 Front 315/30/20x11.75 Rear BMR Suspension by Revan Racing, Ford Racing Springs, Van's Tanks, SS hood-Redline Struts, Alpine sound, Custom Paint by Jeff, More stuff coming. I think the factory nailed on the 13-14 as far as axle backs go, I would prob go with longtubes and h pipe though, ofcourse if you swapped them for the chrome version that would be cool-you never can go wrong with chrome. __________________ 2014 Ingot Silver:Matte Black Stripes:SVTPP:Recaros:Stock
Listen...I have spent Thousands chasing sound on my '13. If you can tolerate a bit of good old gas smell at startup and shutdown, stock mufflers wit a MRT off road pipe. Outstanding. Want no gas smell? Headers with a catted H and stock mufflers. The latter is what I run now. I tried Magnaflow, Borla S, and Borla Touring mufflers. Magnaflow y balance test has the deep note you want but a small bit of drone in higher gears under load around town. Borla S a tad too loud and too high if a note. Borla Touring, basically stock with a higher note. Magnaflow has the depth I like but stock is not far off. Best to go MRT off road pipe but you will need a tune to turn off cat protection. Want no tune? Try Magnaflow Street axle back. Slight but not annoying drone when loading y balance test it up around town in the higher gears. y balance test When you hit the higher y balance test rpms its outstanding.
