Applications open for large 20'ste ABSA KKNK Oudtshoorn News
The festival invites manufacturers and artists to send in their ideas for the twenty festival to be held in Oudtshoorn from 29 March to 5 April 2014. The deadline to submit proposals for production, 31 July, 2013.
Program Manager of the festival, Theo Kemp, said next year's festival guttman scale will be a look back to be on two decades of feeshou in the Little guttman scale Karoo, as well as 20 years of democracy. "We guttman scale would like to invite theater makers come up with out-of-the-box guttman scale ideas for the Big 20 celebrations. Where were we? Where are we now? "Said Kemp.
Kemp emphasized that not all production proposals closely on the theme have to link in it. "We are as always looking for a variety of existing and new top-quality works, which will cover the wide spectrum guttman scale of types of art."
Applications are invited in, among other theater, guttman scale poetry, contemporary music, musical theater, classical music and the visual arts. This year again the possibility for manufacturers of dance theater to bring a widespread and accessible dance performance on stage. The festival offers the following years several acting guttman scale opportunities in specific locations that are aimed at various audiences, including Bacon Choose the command for the young team, Lane Break for visual, physical and non-verbal theater, Testimony for emerging artists and Johnny Biskit's for productions on a youth market is focused.
There is also a vacancy available for a classic guttman scale musiekkurator. The successful guttman scale candidate will be responsible for the classical music programs guttman scale for respectively the festival and the Little Karoo Klassique together. The planning for the festival in 2014 is in full swing with various commissions already envisaged / planned. In the application process, there is a distinction between loket- and fee productions. Kemp explains: guttman scale "With fee productions presented the festival you a fixed fee which will cover your seed production's pre-production costs. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the festival. guttman scale Loketproduksies with no fees to pay you, but you get a percentage of the ticket sales of the production at the festival.
